Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 28, 2026

Rewired ("the App") and the website located at therewired.app ("the Website") (collectively, "the Service") are operated to help you master your focus and reclaim your time. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. We are committed to transparency and protecting your privacy in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).

By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described below.

1. Trader Information (Digital Services Act)

In accordance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), we provide the following verified trader information:

Business Name: Rewired

Operator: Darya Kostyuchek

Address: 11 Salem Ln, Horsham, PA 19044, USA

Email: info@therewired.app

Phone: +1 609-614-0298

2. Privacy by Design

Rewired is built on a "Privacy First" architecture. We minimize data collection to only what is strictly necessary to provide the Service. Most of your productivity data never leaves your device.

3. Screen Time API Data Disclosure

Our app utilizes the Apple Screen Time API (Family Controls) to manage app restrictions. We do not have access to your personal app usage history or the specific content within your other apps. Rewired uses Apple's FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity frameworks. We want to be completely transparent about how this technology works:

Opaque Token System

When you select apps to block, Apple's framework provides Rewired with opaque tokens only. These tokens are anonymized identifiers that allow the system to enforce blocking without revealing which specific apps you have selected.

Zero Visibility

Rewired cannot see, access, or transmit information about which apps you choose to block, which websites you visit, your app usage statistics, or any personal content within your apps.

Local Processing Only

All app blocking, monitoring, and enforcement happen locally on your device through Apple's secure iOS frameworks. No app selection data is transmitted to our servers.

4. TrueDepth Camera, Camera, and Body Pose Detection

Our app uses your device's camera, including the TrueDepth camera (front-facing camera on supported devices), and on-device machine learning for the "Pushup Tracker" feature.

TrueDepth API Usage

Rewired accesses the TrueDepth camera solely to capture video frames for real-time body pose detection during pushup tracking sessions. The TrueDepth camera data is used exclusively for detecting body position and counting pushup repetitions. No facial geometry, depth maps, or facial expression data from the TrueDepth camera is collected, stored, or shared with any third party.

How It Works

The Pushup Tracker uses MediaPipe, an open-source machine learning framework by Google, to detect body pose and count pushup repetitions. The pose detection model runs entirely on your iPhone's local GPU/CPU. Camera frames from the TrueDepth camera or rear camera are fed directly into the on-device pose estimation model.

100% On-Device Processing

The pose detection neural network is bundled directly within the app. All camera frames (including those from the TrueDepth camera) and body pose data are processed locally on your device. No video, images, depth data, or pose landmark data is ever transmitted to Google, Rewired servers, or any third party.

No Data Collection or Sharing

We do not collect, store, or transmit any TrueDepth camera data, body pose data, skeletal landmarks, depth maps, or camera footage. All data is processed in real-time and immediately discarded once your pushup count is recorded. Camera frames never leave your device. TrueDepth camera data is never shared with third parties, advertising networks, or analytics providers.

Retention

TrueDepth camera data and body pose data are used only during an active workout session and are not retained after the session ends. No TrueDepth data is written to disk or persisted in any form.

5. AI-Powered Habit Verification

Rewired offers an optional photo verification feature that uses artificial intelligence to confirm habit completion.

How It Works

When you complete certain habits, you may choose to take a photo as proof of completion. This photo is sent to OpenAI's Vision API, which analyzes the image to verify whether the habit was completed (for example, confirming you are outdoors for a "touch grass" habit).

No Image Storage

We do not store, save, or retain any photos you submit for verification. Images are transmitted directly to OpenAI's API for real-time analysis and are immediately discarded after verification is complete. Neither Rewired nor its team members view your photos.

Third-Party Processing

Photos are processed by OpenAI, LLC under their data usage policies. OpenAI's API does not use submitted images for training purposes. The only data retained is the verification result (verified or not verified), not the image itself.

Optional Feature

Photo verification is entirely optional. You can complete habits without using this feature.

6. Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide and improve the Service:

a. Account Registration

When you create an account using "Sign in with Apple," we receive your email address and name. You may choose to use Apple's "Hide My Email" feature to keep your email address private. You may also provide your name and other details during onboarding to personalize your experience.

b. Analytics and Product Usage Data

We use PostHog to collect anonymized usage information (such as screen views, button taps, and onboarding completion) to understand how the App is used and to improve it. PostHog also provides session replay, which records in-app interactions to help us diagnose issues and improve usability; text you enter is automatically masked and is not captured. This data does not include the content of your other apps or your Screen Time data.

c. Onboarding Responses

During onboarding, you may share information such as your goals, age range, usage habits, and how screen time makes you feel so that we can personalize your plan. These responses are processed by our analytics and paywall providers (PostHog and Superwall) to tailor your experience.

d. Marketing Attribution Data

To measure the effectiveness of our marketing, our partners Appstack and Meta may process device identifiers (including the Identifier for Advertising, or IDFA, subject to your App Tracking Transparency choice) and app-event data to attribute installs and measure advertising performance. See Section 7 (Tracking) for details and your choices.

e. Push Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications such as focus reminders and session alerts. You can disable these at any time in your iOS notification settings.

7. Purpose and Data Minimization

We collect data only for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To manage your account and maintain your focus sessions.
  • Improvement: To analyze app performance and fix bugs.
  • Communication: To send essential account updates, push notifications (such as focus reminders and session alerts), or respond to your support inquiries.
  • Marketing Measurement: To attribute app installs and measure the performance of our advertising, using limited device identifiers and app-event data.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not display third-party advertising inside the App. We do, however, use limited device and app-event data to attribute installs and measure advertising performance, as described below and in Section 10.

Tracking (App Tracking Transparency)

In line with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, the App asks for your permission before tracking you across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you grant permission, we and our partners (such as Appstack and Meta) may use your device's Identifier for Advertising (IDFA) to attribute installs and measure advertising performance. If you decline, the IDFA is not used for this purpose. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical measures, including encryption and secure access controls, to protect your data. Since your focus data is managed by Apple's secure frameworks, it is protected by the same security standards as the rest of your iOS device.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account information (email and name) for as long as your account is active. If you choose to delete your account via the in-app settings, all associated personal data is permanently removed from our systems. Anonymized analytics data may be retained to help us improve the Service over time.

10. Third-Party Service Providers

We maintain partnerships with trusted processors to facilitate the Service:

  • Supabase: We use Supabase, Inc. as our cloud database provider to securely host and store user-generated content such as habit logs, profile information, and app preferences.
  • Apple: Processes authentication (Sign in with Apple) and all subscription payments through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.
  • Superwall: Manages subscription paywall presentation and analytics to optimize your onboarding experience.
  • PostHog: Provides product analytics and session replay (recording of in-app interactions, with text inputs masked) to help us understand usage and improve the App.
  • Appstack: Our mobile measurement partner, which attributes app installs and measures advertising performance. Appstack may process device identifiers (including the IDFA, subject to your App Tracking Transparency choice) and app-event data.
  • OpenAI: Provides AI-powered image analysis for optional habit verification. Photos submitted for verification are processed in real-time and are not stored or used for AI training.
  • Meta (Facebook): Provides advertising attribution and app install analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. This SDK may collect device identifiers and app event data in accordance with Meta's data policy and Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

These providers may process your information on servers located in the United States. Where your data is transferred from the European Union or United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect it.

11. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Regardless of your location, you have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access and Portability: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: You can update your account information at any time.
  • Erasure (Right to Delete): You can delete your account and all associated data directly via the App settings. California residents may also submit a deletion request by contacting us.
  • Opt-Out of Tracking: You can decline app tracking when prompted, or revoke it at any time via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Declining prevents your IDFA from being used for advertising attribution. You may also contact us to request that we stop processing your analytics data.
  • Withdraw Consent: You can revoke Rewired's access to Screen Time data at any time via your iPhone Settings > Screen Time.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, you may use the in-app settings or contact us at info@therewired.app.

12. Age Compliance

The Service is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

In compliance with state laws in Texas, Utah, Louisiana, and other jurisdictions requiring age verification for certain digital services, Rewired integrates with Apple's Declared Age Range API to verify user eligibility based on age information declared in the user's Apple ID account. This allows us to confirm age compliance without collecting additional personal information.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our Service or legal requirements. Material changes will be notified via the Website or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes your consent to the revised terms.
